I have dyslexia
I am a teacher and would like to follow a teaching program to teach dyslexic students. Any recommendations. I prefer online program.
I’m autistic with adhd
I got diagnosed at 6 and now I’m in the top 1% in the world in maths, geography, history and more. I couldn’t read till the 3rd grade, however I used my weakness to a strength and it worked.
Really? You're gonna go with the Swastika?
Good
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Our differences are a strength.
"...just do one thing at a time." Thank you for sharing!
❤ Try Toe by Toe dyslexia manual book. It work miracle!
Assistive technology was a game changer! Use it! It made me independent in school and I didn’t have to rely on someone to spell things for me or lose my train of thought trying to figure out how to spell a word on my own.
You forgot Tom cruise, Jennifer Aniston, Daniel radcliffe, Vince Vaughn, Muhammad ali. They also have it too.
Do you offer any courses for teachers to be certified in Dyslexia?

So dyslexics are only good enough to make it up to C-B list
I got diagnosed with dyslexia at six at school. I’m really lucky to go to a school where things like this is recognised. I feel really sorry for people who are called dumb every day at school because dyslexia isn’t recognised
What do you do for middle school students?

This is a great talk.
Can you imagine me being dyslexia as a medical student while my family didn’t want me to seek for a professional help? It’s very hard going through all these years by myself reading every page of a book very slowly😢, being bullied for always repeating every line that i’ve read just to understand it and not to lose the paragraph line. I , who are very slow at remembering fast speaking of words/numbers while your teacher (doctor) is very sensitive when you asked him/her to repeat/confirm the medicine doses one more time.😢
I whent through all the schooling and no one ever mentioned my dyslexia I always thought I was stupid and got in to trouble and put out of secondary school
It's really hard for them. Great strategies to share. Thank you for the video.
The' are better, than coffees...ho, ho, ho!!
25 years later and I still remember the day Mr Carter went tomato red as he screamed at me for going into a part of the gym we weren't allowed into. To this day I've never seen a man get so angry so fast. I watched him make my teachers cry on more than 1 occasion. The man ruled with an iron fist and a temper hotter than the sun, but he was clearly good at running a school.
My kg2 kid doesn't read every word, but writes every word she had learned or new words correctly Is she dyslexic or not? I'm confused please help me

I was diagnosed in the early 70s I did have a teacher who knew about this back then she helped me to get this right my issue still is maths just can’t remember it I have tried over the years and now computers forget it I do not retain the information and it’s to much to know to do things on them it’s over load for me
How can I download or have access to this mind mapping resources.
Dear British Dyslexia association- please can you do a kick ass video about ‘Low Latent Inhibition’. It is very good for empowering and understanding dyslexic people (& self-understanding self advocacy, self-compassion)? #Iamdyslexic
It would be nice if there was some pictures of the new look and feel and branding or tell us where we can find it?
can anyone give me some ideas as to how I could teach chronological order in history to an upper secondary student?
Great techniques!
I have it to the same but I'm amazing at every thing else.
this was extremely helpful

<tom holland
this video helped me a lot while doing my assignments. thank you for this
What if I find it hard to sometimes understand the sentence when I read it ? I find it hard to put words in the right order when I right it . I have to read what I wrote down many times & sometimes I can tell it doesn’t make sense .
My story. I was always good with numbers, but I couldn’t read or spell. I managed to hide it for a few years. The lad at sat next to could read & write, but he wasn’t good with numbers. So we was top of the class. Then they split us up. I was drop into the bottom class. Then I moved up to secondary school. I was put in the special class, however I was really good at maths, so they moved me into the main school. I was coming top in maths, doing well in science, but really struggling with the English class. There was only one teacher who ever took time with me. He knew I understood the subject, but he couldn’t read my exam paper. So he read out the questions, I told him the answers, then he wrote it down. That was the early 70s. I mainly work in the coal mine. But I did get a job there where I had to write reports. Doctors hand writing can best explain it. I did a dyslexic test when I was 40 - 50. I’m now 64, and have just started open uni. I have got the software to help me, but it going to be difficult as I’m doing science. I really hope the kids of today get the right help
